Each semester you will be immersed in the life of The Journey Church. In practicums, students explore areas of ministry interest and are mentored by our pastoral staff and ministry leaders with ever-increasing areas of responsibility and opportunity. You will have opportunities to attend meetings and ministry moments that will give you exposure to real world ministry successes and challenges.

PRACTICUM AREAS

Outreach – Make the name of Jesus famous by being His hands and feet!  The outreach practicum will participate in the planning and execution of outreach events including our food pantry, homeless outreach, and more!

Family Ministries (Youth and Kids) – Families are the cornerstone of the church and ministry to parents, kids, and youth are more vital than they’ve ever been.  This practicum will give you experience in ministry to kids from preschool to 12^th grade!

Worship & Creative – If you’re a musician, vocalist, tech savvy, or you love media, this is the practicum for you!  Help our worship leader plan for our Sunday services, mid-week prayer services, and other worship experiences.  Or, work on the creative elements of our church including photography, videography, social media, and more!

Church Leadership – Pick this practicum if you’re interested in experience in multiple areas of the church.  Spend time in each of the above mentioned areas of ministry plus others like administration, finances, and communication!
